Those Times When a Burrito is the Best Answer

This week has been one of the most interesting weeks I've had as a teacher. The school where I work could be described as "therapeutic." Students have various social/emotional problems, and they need a soothing, low-consequence setting where they can work through some things before they're ready to enter a mainstream school. I've never practiced so much patience.

Today was one of those days when I'm uncertain about how a certain situation got handled. A particular student has no control/restraint with her physical behavior, and current strategies don't seem to help her make any progress. It's a daily, ongoing problem that has left me physically and mentally exhausted.

Ryan has been wanting to go to this place called Freebirds World Burrito. (I think they're all in Texas.)  Normally when we go to a burrito place, I just get a salad. But today I really wanted that burrito, with the over-sized, super carby tortilla and all the non-paleo toppings. Earlier today I assumed I would just get a salad...but as the day went on it became clear that I needed a burrito. And wine.

Sometimes, we just need those indulgent moments. They're good for the soul. I haven't had a burrito in a couple of years, and it'll probably be a couple of years before I have another one :)

I do, however, do have chips and salsa more often than
I should!
Ryan took a picture to prove that I actually ate a burrito. So here's your proof :)

Question: What do you love to eat when you're feeling indulgent? I'm also a sucker for desserts...chocolate in particular.

Good night!
