Benjy's Restaurant and a Park Bench Workout

Ryan and I are in Houston for only a year, and we're trying to go to as many places as we can on our limited budget. After his coworkers raved about Benjy's a few weeks ago, we knew we had to check it out. During happy hour, of course! He had today off...well not off   because he has to leave at 7 tonight for a shift...but he was off during the day, so we took advantage and went to Benjy's right when happy hour began at 4. We like to eat when the elderly eat. It's cheaper, and we're already hungry anyway :)

First, I ordered a Lychee Fizz. Anything with lychee is delicious, so I didn't have to think twice about it.

Then I ordered a goat cheese cakes appetizer. It came out with a chutney, and the two combined were just so freakin good :)

Ryan had a burger. Everything was so so so good. We will definitely go back soon for more delicious drinks and appetizers!

Earlier this morning, I felt like I had restless leg syndrome. I tried to sit down and eat breakfast, but I just couldn't sit still. My legs were so antsy. So I sat in a straddle split while I ate. Once I was done eating, I stretched some more, but nothing alleviated the antsiness! It was quite irritating. I planned on working out when Ryan left for work at 7pm, when the temperature isn't as brutal, by my legs had other plans. I had to get outside and move.
I wanted to get in a good lower body workout to ensure my jittery legs wouldn't bother me for the rest of the day. I started with a 10 minute jog, and then I used a park bench to aid me in this (mostly) lower body workout:

Links for unfamiliar exercises:
Bulgarian Squats
Box Jumps
Broad Jumps (jumps as far as you can each time!)
Incline/Decline Push ups (use the bench for your dips and pushups!)

After I jogged, completed the park bench workout, and sauntered back towards the apartment, I can say that the restlessness was thoroughly tamed. And hours later my legs are starting to get sore. If only my arms would get that restless...then maybe I'd be inspired to exhaust them more in my upper body workouts :)

Good night!
