The "workout high" that so many people talk about seems quite elusive, but I've found that when I do feel that workout high, it always occurs after a morning workout. I imagine it's a combination of getting it checked off the list before my day begins and getting my body moving faster than the sluggish rate that I'm used to in the mornings.

The plan is to attend this class twice a week, either Monday and Wednesday or Monday and Friday. I'll throw in a few runs for the rest of my workouts. I'm thinking about running the Turkey Day race in New Orleans on Thanksgiving, so I should probably shift my workouts towards a little more running :)
Here's the workout we completed this morning:
Part 1:
Lap around the park (3 minute jog)
30 jumping jacks
hill run
30 high knees
hill run
30 squat jumps
hill run
30 lunges
hill run
10 push ups
15 twisting planks
10 push ups
15 slow bicycles
15 leg raises
hill run
Lap around the park
(Repeat, this time w/ 40 reps)
Part 2:
15 lunges
Sprint uphill
Jog downhill
40 mountain climbers
Lap around the park
40 mountain climbers
40 twisting hip lifts
20 plank up & downs
The whole workout lasted about 45 minutes. Two days ago I completed the Arm-Toning Dumbbell Workout, so my chest was still sore during today's workout!
Question to readers: Do you ever get that "workout high?" Any tips for those of us who often find it to be elusive????
Happy Monday!
